As far back as I can remember I have had a serious love affair with all things sweet. From the fresh-out-of-the-oven sticky buns that my grandmother baked to the simple bowl of chocolate ice cream I shared with my dad--our ritual every night after dinner, I couldn't let a day go by without something sweet touching my lips. But, it was when I christened my first KitchenAid mixer with the sweet combination of butter, sugar, vanilla, and flour that I realized the joy creating all types of hard-to-resist treats brought me. Just as important was the joy I got from the grins on the faces of friends and family enjoying my yummy creations.
I began my career as an Event Planner in the financial services industry and eventually was appointed Vice President of Operations. Although I learned a great deal from both roles, I lacked a passion for my job. That's why Sugarcoated Catering was first born--from the union of business experience, the desire to be an entrepreneur, and a passion inherited from my grandmother. The time was right to follow my dream and do what I love . . . make people happy through sweets.
Sugarcoated's goal is to WOW each client with a stunning variety of mouth-watering desserts, creatively displayed for the clients' special occasion--whether it be a children's party, a bridal or baby shower, an intimate dinner party, or a large gathering. We start by sitting down with each client to come up with dessert choices and a plan to provide a unique table that fits the theme and mood of the event. Sugarcoated is proud to say that every item we include in our dessert buffet is absolutely delicious, taste-tested by the toughest judge of them all: ME!
